Project Architect

With over 20 years of industry experience, our client operates in Sydney and Newcastle offices, delivering both commercial and residential projects, state-wide. Achieving several industry awards, our client prides themselves on applying meaningful and inspiring principles in their work that integrates architecture, interior design and urban design.

 

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced, practising, Registered Architect to engage them on a permanent basis. This full-time role is required to:

  • Work as a key member of the in-house documentation team
  • Cooperate on a delivery of multiple residential as well as commercial projects
  • Manage the process and timely delivery of projects and documentation
  • Ensure projects are properly costed at all stages of design development and to ensure they are delivered on a budget
  • Apply solid project management skills incl. documentation and progress tracking
  • Lead projects from the concept design through to the construction phase, incl. liaising with the clients, councils and consultants
  • Apply sound understanding of BCA – Building Code of Australia and NSW planning controls

 

About You:

  • NSW Registered Architect with a Master degree in Architecture
  • Minimum 6 years post-graduate architectural experience incl. at least 3 years of local Australian based experience
  • Solid understanding of construction, documentation and project delivery incl. the Development Application, Construction Certificate and Tender Documentation process
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to liaise with external suppliers and trades to solve problems that may occur on site
  • Ability to coordinate a project team, as well as work independently
  • Revit software proficient with sound experience in drafting and/or design
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and/or InDesign would be an advantage
