Customer Operations Officer

As the Customer Operations Officer, you will be representing the client in a key customer facing role handling enquiries across a range of products.

Our client is a locally owned and operated leader supplying specialised products to the building industry. They pride themselves on providing exceptional customer service to homeowners, architects, domestic and commercial builders. Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, our client is looking for a Customer Operations Officer to support our customer service team based in their Newcastle Office. 

About the role

As the Customer Operations Officer, you will be representing the client in a key customer facing role handling enquiries across a range of products.

You will have exceptional attention to detail and highly developed interpersonal and communication skills to assist you answer customer enquiries and process orders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing exceptional customer service via phone, email and face to face
  • Processing all customer enquiries and orders in a timely and professional manner
  • Fast and accurate data entry of orders and invoices
  • Liaise with the broader team in relation to products and customer orders
  • Build meaningful relationships to generate repeat business
  • Contribute to new ideas and process improvement
  • Contribute to social media posts and content

About you

  • Customer service experience 2-3 years
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills
  • Excellent time management skills with ability to prioritise
  • Ability to maintain accurate customer and supplier records
  • Excellent computer (Microsoft office) and administration skills
  • Willingness to learn with a great attention to detail
  • Passion for working with customers in a team environment
  • A high level of initiative with strong problem-solving skills
